## What is PlanCheck?

PlanCheck is the only AI-powered building plan pre-qualification platform built specifically for county governments. It automates the review of building construction plan PDFs against configurable department checklists, providing detailed compliance reports with pass/partial/fail status, evidence citations, and page references.

## How it works

1. Builders upload building plan PDFs through a self-service web portal
2. The platform extracts text and images from each page using PyMuPDF
3. AI text analysis checks extracted content against checklist keywords and prompts
4. AI vision analysis examines plan drawings for visual elements (north arrows, scale bars, etc.)
5. A detailed compliance report is generated with pass/partial/fail status per item, including evidence and page references
